Blaming Galileo: Liability for damage caused by GNSS enabled autonomous systems

In December 2021, a new Galileo launch is scheduled, part of the EU Space Programme. Galileo is the European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and is currently being used by more than two billion users worldwide.

This is a perfect timing to address legal implications. I write about liability for damage caused by GNSS enabled autonomous systems, in a European context. The article is published in the Proceedings of the International Astronautical Congress, 2021, Dubai, part of the Colloquium organized by the International Institute of Space Law. Read the entire paper on SSRN.

Ad astra!
