Wolf Sauter is Full Professor of Law, Markets and Behavior at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, specialising in economic law, competition law, and sector-specific regulation, particularly healthcare. He is also a specialist enforcement official at the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets in The Hague. In his 2024 inaugural lecture he argued for a responsive approach to competition law that remains open to societal developments. He is the author of Coherence in EU Competition Law and writes regularly for Markt en Mededinging.
