Wes Damen is a Ph.D. Candidate at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is currently researching the intersection of data protection- and social security law, focusing primarily on the conflict between fundamental rights law and (innovations in) the processing of citizens’ personal data. His broader research interests include administrative-, constitutional, and human rights law; law and technology; (legal) history and philosophy, and artistic and curatorial research.
