Award and conference invitation
The three most outstanding theses will be selected by an independent jury of scholars and enforcers in law and economics. The jury is composed of: Christian Bergqvist (University of Copenhagen), Natalie Harsdorf (President of the Austrian Federal Competition Authority), Frédéric Jenny (ESSEC Business School), Maria Maciá (Notre Dame Law School), Alba Ribera Martínez (Universidad Villanueva), and Thibault Schrepel (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam).
The authors will be invited (travel and accommodation fully covered) to present their work at a special conference hosted at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in November 2026. They will also be able to claim their prize. The conference will conclude with a celebratory dinner in the heart of Amsterdam, where the selected students will have the opportunity to share a nice meal with leading professors, researchers, and practitioners in the field.
We look forward to discovering your work and celebrating the next generation of scholarship in competition and economic law.
