Ioana Bratu presented the European Approach to AI Governance & Regulation at the American Bar Association

On 25 October 2023, Ioana Bratu was invited to present the current status of the AI Act and the AI Liability Directives, at the American Bar Association, International Law Section, National Security Committee. The presentation focused on the risk-based approach and the pyramid of criticality introduced by the AI Act, the definition of ‘AI systems’ as well as the proposed dual-track strategy – fault versus strict liability – of the European Commission in case of damage caused by the use of AI systems.
